Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) has rightly identified this need and designed a special program called Post Graduate Diploma in College Administration (PGDCA) for the benefit of Non-Teaching Staff of a College or an Institute or a University of higher learning. College Administration is actually the backbone of running an educational enterprise. However, it is seen that, by and large, the Non-Teaching Staff of a College or an Institute or a University mostly learns on the job, by trial and error method. No specialized programs or training methods are available to impart the required knowledge, skills and insight to the Administrative Staff of an educational enterprise.

The program gives a current and updated view, knowledge and insight of government policies, statutory framework, governance, management, institutional administration, inter-departmental linkages, statutory compliance/s, affiliation, recognition and approvals, accreditation, admissions and fee recovery, record maintenance and retrieval, conducting and maintaining the minutes of the meeting, legal matters, safety and security, health and hygiene, written and oral communication skills for the ultimate satisfaction of the stakeholders in education. PGDCA will be an immensely beneficial program for the new recruits in education sector as well as for those who aspire to get promoted from their existing clerical levels to the level of O.S. and Registrar in a College or an Institute or a University.

  • Bachelor degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • International / SAARC Graduate from a recognised / accredited University /Institution.
  • Students who have appeared for final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to successfully completing their bachelor's degree program / graduation within the time Period specified by SCDL.

  • The duration of the program is one year.
  • The registration period is valid for two academic years.

    Application Form Fees (Non-refundable):
  • For Indian Residents (General / Defence): ₹ 1200/-
  • International / SAARC: US $ 100 OR Rs. 7,200/-

Program Fees: Program Fees: Students have two options of paying the fees as mentioned below:
A] Option 1 – Two -Installments: Student has to pay the full course fees in two installments. Pay 1st Installment within 15 days from the date of admission and Pay 2nd Installment within 60 days from the date of payment of 1st Installment.

    Note: Batch for the program will start subject to sufficient enrollment. Participants are required to pay exam fees per exam per attempt separately. Exam Fee is not a part of Program Fee.

    Fee Payment Mode: Fees can be paid Online or by Demand Draft.
  • Payment via Online: this can be done through payment gateway.
  • Payment via DD: this can be submitted at SCDL Pune campus. The Demand Draft needs to be in favor of "The Director, SCDL, Pune" payable at Pune only.
