Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) is located in the heart of India's premier educational centre, the city of Pune.

The DEC which has been set up by the Govt. of India under an Act of Parliament for recognition of open and
distance learning institutes in India. The DEC critically appraises the programs offered by the ODL institutes to ensure that the prescribed norms and standards in regards to quality of the self learning materials both print and electronics and delivery are maintained.

SCDL is an autonomous institute and all programs offered by SCDL are autonomous.

SCDL unites students of all nationalities, regions, occupations and age groups under one virtual “World Campus” through the mode of open and distance learning (ODL).

SCDL has also started information centre in Nasik (Maharashtra) and Bangalore (Karnataka). These SCDL centres provide an easy access to all SCDL facilities.

Today, more than 2,00,000 students from more than 42 different countries are studying various SCDL programs in order to achieve their dreams.
