Ability to set direction and prioritize work and
resources based business needs, Lead network design strategy
meetings, set directions and provide recommendation |

Participate in budget forecasting and tracking
and provide recommendations as needed |

Developing scalable network designs for both our
campus and global networks |

Identifying, researching, and evaluating
emerging network technologies |

Developing and implementing network management
and related tools; and engineering solutions for the firm's growing,
highly resilient network infrastructure

Conducts network architecture design,
feasibility and cost studies |
 |
Designs, analyzes, plans, and modifies network
components supporting network roadmap
|
 |
Proposes and implements system enhancements
(software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance
and reliability of the system.
|
 |
Operates data communication systems, including
LANs and WANs.
|
 |
Plans, designs and implements networked systems,
including configurations, and supports/troubleshoots network
problems
|
 |
Develops and evaluates network performance
criteria and measurement methods.
|
 |
Prepares the analysis of the capacity needs for
switching, routing transmission and signaling.
|
 |
Ability to work under pressure and effectively
prioritize and structure tasks with limited supervision
|
 |
Manages a team of network administrators and
desktop support engineers effectively.
|
 |
All other duties as assigned
|
 |
Candidates should have superb network
design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills, as well as
strong programming skills, and an excellent understanding of
state-of-the-art network management practices. |
 |
Should have very good verbal & written
communication skills |
 |
Should have managerial experience |
 |
5+ years of experience with enterprise-level
network design |
 |
[Preferably]A master's degree in Computer
Science or Engineering |
 |
Extensive hands-on experience with
enterprise-class routers and switches (Cisco preferred); |
 |
Superior understanding of network routing
and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
|
 |
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including
packet-level traffic analysis
|
 |
In-depth understanding of network security
and access control
|
 |
Experience with VoIP, QoS, and IP Telephony
technologies
|
 |
Experience with network management
automation and scripting in Perl, Python, or Java
|
 |
Excellent written and oral communication
skills
|
 |
Creative problem-solving abilities
|
 |
Experience with UNIX systems administration
|
 |
Excellent managerial expertise
|
 |
Network and security certifications such as
CCNP and CCIE and prior exposure to Solaris/Linux are a must
|
 |
